Worship in Spirit & Truth Part 8 - "Lord I worship You"

"John 4:23 - But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him."

God is getting tired of people saying: "Lord I worship you". They are just saying the words, while worship is indeed an act. If you are saying, "Lord I worship you" it doesn't necessarily means that you are worshipping. He says in His Word: "You honor me with your lips, but your hearts are far from me". Do you see the difference between saying the word "worship" and doing the act of worship? You can tell somebody you love him or her, but if it doesn't show in your acts that word doesn't mean anything. The same case with faith, it is dead without works. Worship is the same, don't say it if you don't do it. In the book of Revelations (19:4) we see how the angels and the 24 elders are bowing and prostrating before the throne of God saying: "Holy Holy". They are not only standing with lifted hands saying: "Lord we worship you", they are doing the act , prostating and are proclaiming with their mouths that He is Holy. Don't say "Lord I worship You" if you are not obedient to His will, and if you lack the faith to trust Him with the impossible. Also don't say it if you don't have love in your heart for your neighbour, or if you haven't sorted out ill relationships with others.Acceptable worship requires a pure heart and pure motives.
